Paramount+ Renews ‘Mayor Of Kingstown’ for Season 3

Jeremy Renner’s program Mayor of Kingstown has been renewed for a third season. The comedy starring Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon has been the subject of speculation about a possible revival for months.

Renner hinted to a third season of the program in May, when he tweeted a photo gallery of his character with the caption, “Might be time to start preparing mentally for 3.”

After a lengthy recovery, Renner will resume his role as Mayor of Kingstown. More than 30 of his bones were broken in a tractor accident that occurred on January 1. Two weeks later, on January 15, the show’s second season premiered and aired all the way through March 19.

After Sheridan’s 1923 and Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown is regarded as one of Paramount+’s best-performing original plays.

The McLusky family runs the town of Kingstown, Michigan, where the only thriving industry is the prison system.

Mayor of Kingstown is a collaborative effort between MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. The film is being produced by Regina Corrado, Dave Erickson, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Ron Burkle, and Dave Erickson, with help from Antoine Fuqua, Matt Dillon, Kevin Renner, and David C. Glasser.

In addition to Lawmen: Bass Reeves and Land Man, Sheridan stars in the Paramount+ series Special Ops: Lioness, 1923, 1883, and Tulsa King.
