Disney+ Deal: $1.99/month for 3 months! Watch ‘Ashoka,’ ‘Little Mermaid’

Disney+ is giving a bargain to get users who stopped subscribing over the summer back on board.

Three months of Disney+ Basic (with advertisements) may be purchased for $1.99 from now until September 20. At the regular price of $7.99 per month, you can save $18 over the period of three months.

From now until then, you may catch “Elemental,” the latest animated Pixar film, when it debuts on Disney+ on September 13; “The Little Mermaid,” a live-action adaptation of the classic tale, premiered on Wednesday; and “Ashoka,” the new Star Wars series, premiered on Disney+ on August 22.

The second season of “I Am Groot,” starring the budding star of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” premieres on September 13, and “Animals Up Close with Bertie Gregory,” also on National Geographic, premieres the same day.

Disney+ is offering this discount since it plans to increase the price of many of its monthly plans in the near future. Disney+ still costs $7.99 per month, commercials and all. Subscription costs for several other services will increase on October 12.

Disney+, for instance, jumps from $10.99 to $13.00 without advertisements. The Trio Basic package, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with commercials, now costs $14.99 per month rather than the previous $12.99. The Trio Premium package, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with commercials, now costs $24.99 a month instead of $19.99.

Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, launched in the United States in November of 2019. The likes of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and even National Geographic have contributed to its high quality. Subscriber numbers in the U.S. and Canada dropped by 1% from the previous quarter to 46 million in the three months ending June 30. Worldwide, there are 146.1 million paying customers.
